Such a disappointment

I got tickets for all of the kids for a Disney on Ice for Christmas a few years ago.  I thought it was go great we would do it one last time, but the older kids were pushing the age limit to enjoy it.  Dean wasn't able to go, so I talked Zub into going with us to help with the kids.  Ellie had a big over an over stimulation episode and when we finally took our seats I was so excited to watch their little faces.

Well, it was Sesame Street and it wasn't on ice.  They just ran around and danced and it was only appropriate for the youngest couple of kids, and my respect for the way Ben acted can never be over stated.  He never once acted like he was disappointed, although I knew it was hard for him to sit through it.

That is the end of our being able to go to an ice skating show and instead of it being one, it was a dancing party for babies.       It was totally my fault.  I googled Disney on Ice and wanted it so badly I didn't even read the write up.

Better luck next time.

Close to my Final Activity Day

We invited the ward, with the elderly spotlighted, as we performed a talent show for them.  It was a Hawaii themed night and each girl performed at least 2 talents as well as learning to sing a few songs and to perform the hula dance I learned when I was their age "The Hukilau song".

The girls served them dessert and drinks, decorated and performed.  Some didn't feel like they had a talent show talent to find out that I believed telling a good joke was a perfectly great talent.  Lots of kids played the piano, some danced, one sang but everyone had a wonderful time.

I was getting to the point I would tell Dean I was going into tow and wouldn't be back for a couple of hours, only to run into town for supplies then go to activity without him knowing.  I finally have asked to be released.  These girls have truly been a bright spot in my life.

Ivin's Enterprise

There is no sign in the world I love more than this sign on the way out north of St. George.  It says it all.
